Jack the American Ghost

Young Ma Go-eun and her father are about to be evicted from the haunted house they’ve run throughout the years. But Go-eun is not about to let the park owner demolish their haunted house and her memories of her childhood and her mother. She resolves to go to the United States to surpass trials and get a million dollar cash prize awarded to those who can survive a stay in Ghost Jack’s House.

Candy’s Notes: Noooooooo these full color webcomis are gonna be the death of me. They’re so freaking pretty!!!! And here we are again, on my search for horror romance, I find the best of things. This addictive little number is so freaking good, I think I skipped a class to stay up reading it (don’t freaking judge me!!!). So like the story is actually kinda unique in that it’s pretty simple, but wih a lot of new elements. So Jack, was like an amazing performer, but then he killed himself. Now his mansion is a site of horror as people literally take challenges there for a fuck ton of money. Basically if they can make it through like a certain time period there, they’ll win. Seems easy right? LOL HELL NO! The place is haunted with asshole ghosts.

Now main girl, Go-eun needs this money (don’t we all) because she’s trying to keep her ghost house in an amusement park open (yeah, it’s kinda wtf’sh) because it was built with her mom who’s now dead (whole story about that). So this fearless ass girl signs up and heads in there. Now these ghost play dirty. They bring up your deepest darkest secret and use it against you (that’s why people with huge issues are chosen to participate). Go-eun goes in with like 5 other people, idr, I just know I started shipping her with this one guy soooooo freaking hard, BUT DON’T BE FOOLED, ITS A TRAP SHIP!!! The main ship comes when Go-eun sings. Turns out, Jack is a ghost and has a promise to compose a song that this ASS of a demon will adore. To do this, he ends up asking Go-eun for her help. LOL these two are actually super cute and hilarious.

The romance is great because both of them are great. Neither of them expected it, so neither knew how to deal with it. Jack was especially hilarious being all confused and what not. Now I know it sounds like a simple story but it’s actually pre dark. There’s a reason it has a horror tag. Everyone has some fucked up past and issue, and it gives them so much personality and life! Like I honestly missed some of the characters when they were removed even though they were only side characters. It’s kinda cliché and predictable but there’s nothing wrong with that when it’s done right and dear god it’s done so right here!! The reveals were a bit annoying because how long they took (honestly they were dragging their feet to reveal some shit) but whatever, the story is great! So far two seasons have been released of this bad boy and season 2 ends with the most….omg I can’t, it’s freaking cliffhanger hell. Season 3 where!?!?!?!
