It starts with poisonous herbs under the cradle. Then under the sheets. And inside the clothes. Even mixed in the milk that they feed the newborn. This way the child gradually gets used to poisons and becomes the perfect assassination tool—the “Poison Princess” whose every kiss, tear, and even touch bring death. Her only chance of survival is to fulfill her duty as an assassin and find a way to live on in the enemy land she is sent to…if her heart is strong enough.

Candy’s Notes: READ THIS!!! It’s such a good and beautiful story. The art is gorgeous and so is the world they build up. Warning, you will be depressed reading this manga. The romance was sooooo sweet it hurt. I didn’t expect it to be that cute considering the story involved triplets. I assumed there would be a lot of bs drama over the girl but the plot was too thick, they didn’t even have time to fight over her. I’m so freaking glad they explained everything like why the triplets were the way they were, the prophecy they kept talking about, and the way the poison princesses work. It’s heartwarming and heart wrenching at the same time as you’ll end up rooting for something that you know is bound to fail. I was honestly really sad when it ended because it felt just a bit rushed but I think that’s just because I wanted more romance. FYI the romance isn’t really hardcore there and there’s no confessing our kissing until the last chapters due to reasons you’ll understand if you read it.

I really enjoyed this manga. It’s dark and beautiful. It’s not very romantic but it’s okay. It’s a bit creepy, but that’s okay, too. It ended tragically but I wouldn’t have it otherwise.
True, the romance was very sparse. It’s more implied throughout the manga then at the very end it appears. Omg the ending fit the overall tone of it but it was so sad. It really was a perfect ending considering the way the story was moving. If it ended happily I prob would’ve raged a little, not gonna lie xD
Same here. It was only so natural that it would end that way. If it ended more “happily”, I’ll feel like I’ve been cheated. It’s one of those stories that you just know that it had to end tragically, and you’re alright with it. Great post. Keep on reading manga and blogging about it. Cheers!
